DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed
Suspension for oral administration after reconstitution in gel-droplet diluent.
Follow the directions carefully.
Gel droplet application method
The gel droplet application method involves mixing the vaccine into the gel, a specific diluents supplied with the vaccine, to form gel droplets that stick to the day-old chicks’ down when applied.
Making use of chicks’ natural behavior to peck, the gel droplets are preened off within minutes by the chicks and the oocysts suspended in the gel droplets are ingested.
The gel diluents keep the oocysts in suspension in the vaccine container during the application process.
For 10 000 doses of IMMUCOX® 5 Gel-Droplets –
Add 70 g of gel-droplet diluents slowly to 2,5 ℓ of room temperature distilled or RO water in a suitable mixing container and mix with a hand-held mixer. Be sure all lumps are dissolved.
Shake 10 000 doses of IMMUCOX® 5 vaccine well, pour in and mix with a hand-held blender.
No further agitation is required for use on the same day.
Vaccinate at 1 day of age (hatch day) to 3 days old at a ratio of 25 mℓ for every 100 birds, through a gel-droplet machine or device.
Gel diluents that will be used on the same day can be kept in a closed container at room temperature. Stir for a couple of seconds before usage.
Gel diluents that will be used within two days, should be kept in the fridge. Stir for a couple of seconds before use.
NOTE:
The ability of Immucox® 5 to aid in the development of immunity in chickens against coccidiosis depends on many factors.
These include, but are not limited to conditions of storage and handling of the vaccine by the user, administration of the vaccine, the response of individual fowls to the vaccine and whether the directions for use and precautionary measures are being followed carefully.
