CEVAMUNE®
CHLORINE NEUTRALIZATION & BLUE COLOURED VACCINE SOLUTION FOR BIRDS.
CEVAMUNE® is an effervescent tablet which contains a blue colorant and a chlorine neutralizing agent.
UTILISATIONS:
Added to poultry drinking water while vaccinating with live vaccines, CEVAMUNE allows:
- To protect the vaccine against chlorine in drinking water,
- To control the delivery of vaccine solution within water network, to evaluate the vaccine intake directly on birds.
STORAGE:
Store in a dry cool place. Keep out of reach of children.
PROPERTIES:
Dissolves in 5 minutes in water at 20 °C. Neutralizes chlorine in 10 minutes, until 10 ppm of free chlorine at 35 °C. Gives a deep blue colour to vaccine solution. This colour does not modify water intake. Tints the tongue and the crop of the birds for one to two hours.
HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the volume of water required for vaccination.
- Add 1 tablet CEVAMUNE® per 100 litres. Break the tablet if the temperature of water is below 15°C.
- Wait 10 minutes for complete chlorine neutralization, then homogenize with plastic agitator.
- Dilute the vaccine by opening the vial under water surface.
- Distribute the vaccine.
- Add CEVAMUNE® to the tank again following vaccination, in a volume of water sufficient for 2 hours intake by the birds.
FOR VETERINARY USE:
The following is some information regarding the use of skimmed milk powder for vaccination purposes. It is true that one can use milk powder for this application, but it is not without its problems, and we know there is a better alternative available today. This product is in the form of an effervescdnt tablet that neutralizes chlorine, binds heavy metals and has the added benefit of colouring the vaccine solution blue. Chicks can then be sampled and their tongues and crops evaluated to see if the vaccination rate was sufficient. This without the potential problems that milk powder has.
Please note the following important points:
- Dosage: 1 tablet per 200 litres (for chlorine levels lower than 5 ppm) (normal 0,5 to 1 ppm) otherwise 1 tablet per 100 litres of vaccination solution.
