Wash and disinfect hands with a disinfectant after vaccination.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed .
CEVAC® NEW L is essentially targeted to be used in fowls previously immunized with a mild ND vaccine. Vaccinate by the drinking water methods. Re-vaccination approximately 3 - 4 weeks after the initial vaccination is recommended.
Drinking Water Method:
Do not use disinfecting solutions in the drinking water for 48 hours before and 24 hours after vaccination. The waterers should be thoroughly cleaned before use. Do not use disinfecting solutions during cleaning.
Withhold water supply from the fowls for a maximum of 1 - 2 hours depending on the ambient temperature.
The volume of water must be calculated according to the number and age of the fowls to be immunized. This may vary according to environmental conditions. An indication of mixing ratios follows.
For each 1 000-dose package, mix the vaccine with clean cool, non-chlorinated water as follows:
For stabilization of the vaccine virus, add 2 g of skim milk powder per 1 litre of the water (0,2 %).
AGE | VOLUME OF WATER | DOSES |
---|
3 – 4 weeks | +/- 20 litres | 1 000 |
4 – 8 weeks | 20 – 30 litres | 1 000 |
8 weeks | 30 – 40 litres | 1 000 |
After mixing the vaccine in the water, distribute the vaccine-medicated water equally among the fowls. Provide enough vaccine-medicated water and ensure that it is consumed within 1 – 2 hours. Make sure that all the vaccine medicated water has been consumed before the normal watering practice is recommenced.
